Posted in Family by Seth at 6:12 pm |

Eric arrived at our house at about 1PM today. He is doing very well.

We have much to be thankful for. See picture below. Enough said.

Thanks for all of your prayers and your support.

I found this blog on the internet whille researching the symptoms of a Subaortic membrane. My almost 3year old son was born with a Ventricular Septal defect between his right and left ventrical (7mm), an enlarged heart, fluid on his lungs, a small hole in the right atrium & the subaortic membrane. He actually was blue when he was born- I’m suprised they didn’t find it then. At his 2 week appointment they discovered the murmur. Now that he will be 3 soon the doctor wants to see if the membrane is growing. I should state that all the other problems corrected themselves in the 1st year of his life. My question to you is Did Eric experience any symptoms like sleeping for 12-14 hrs at a time and them seem less active in his day to day activities? I have looked for symptoms all over the internet andthey vary so much, that it would be nice to hear from a parent with a child with the same problem. If you could find it in your heart to reply to a concerned mother across the USA, that would be so great. I am glad to hear that Eric is doing well after his surgery. That gives me hope for my child. I am glad the doctor saw the membrane in his infancy- very uncommon to find that, and that we could monitor it. Otherwise my son looks healthy and doesn’t have the symptoms he had as a baby.
Sincerely,
